The Brewery at Hershey

The Brewery at Hershey

Something new and unique has just opened in Hershey – Pennsylvania’s first combination winery and brewery. Initially known as just The Vineyard at Hershey, this past weekend marked the grand opening of The Brewery at Hershey. Beer and wine are both brewed, fermented and sold all on the same 40-acre plot of land. Nestled off the beaten path, but only a few minutes off the highway, the location is in a prime spot to attract locals and … Read entire article »

Community Beer Works – Buffalo, NY

Community Beer Works – Buffalo, NY

While up in Buffalo, New York, over Thanksgiving, I wanted to visit a local brewery or two (time and liver permitting). Three people recommended that I visit Community Beer Works so I made sure to check that one out. CBW opened their doors about six months ago in an old malting mill located just off of the Niagara River. Luciew reports … Read entire article »

Abita Brewpub – Abita Springs, Louisiana

Abita Brewpub – Abita Springs, Louisiana

As with every trip I go on, I researched local craft beers, beer bars, and breweries for places to visit and eat. Naturally, when one thinks of New Orleans, Abita comes to mind since their beers see a wide distribution. There are two choices for an Abita experience: the brewery and the brewpub. My fiancée and I … Read entire article »

The New Captain Lawrence Brewing Company Location – Elmsford, NY

The New Captain Lawrence Brewing Company Location – Elmsford, NY

My buddy Tim invited me up to New York for a visit since he was on vacation, and he suggested that we check out the new Captain Lawrence Brewing Company location. Having never been to the brewery, I wasn’t about to protest. Captain Lawrence relocated from Pleasantville to Elmsford just over a month ago into a shiny, newly renovated warehouse space right off of Saw Mill River Road. You know you have found the brewery … Read entire article »
