SAVOR Beer Week in DC

Welcome everyone to SAVOR Beer Week in the District of Columbia! You’ll notice that the majority of our posts this week will be centered around the various events and beers enjoyed in and around the District as we all prep for next weekend’s big SAVOR event.

But what is SAVOR? Well, it’s a can’t miss beer event for beer geeks and foodies alike. Held in the National Building Musuem, this event features beers and food samples from 75 breweries and the opportunity to chat with some of the most recognized names in craft beer.

Luckily for those of us who can’t get to the event (or for those who couldn’t splurge on the ticket price), bars throughout major DC area will be tapping tons of rare kegs and having enough great events that you could have a beer in hand for roughly seven straight days.

We hope you have a great week of events planned out. If you know of an event we can’t get to and want to write a guest post on it, let us know! Hopefully, you’ll be seeing us around.

For the love of the beer.

Sincerely,

Russ, Greg, Paige, Jeff, Garrett, and Bob

Russ can trace his beginnings in craft beer to sitting in Zeno’s Pub in State College drinking various craft beer options from across Pennsylvania. Since then, he has never faltered in finding new brews, whether they’re rare, delicious, or hopefully both. Russ will be writing on a large variety of subjects, including but not limited to: reviews, homebrewing, and how to take labels off of beer bottles. He’ll drink just about anything, but prefers a nice Stout, IPA, or Weizenbock. Find Russ Beck on Google Plus
