LetsPour – Online Store Review

LetsPour  is a Seattle-based retailer the offers wine and beer for sale online. Simple, you think, but Lets Pour goes about it differently.  For beers, they ship out of California, Florida, and Washington. You can order any number of bottles but to take advantage of free shipping from a location you must purchase at least 6 bottles or cans from the location. If you don’t, shipping is automatically added to the order. This isn’t as confusing as it seems because each beer has the location that it is shipped from and you can even sort on location.

2013-05-01_18-30-56_66My purchase is good example of what LetsPour offers. The Oak-Aged Bretta from Logsdon was what drew me in so I looked around to fill my order with Gigantic‘s The Time Traveller, Howe Sound‘s Megadestroyer, Midnight Sun‘s Moscow, Reuben‘s Imperial Rye IPA, and Sound‘s Ursus Spelaeus.

I've been looking at LetsPour for about 6 months but nothing really piqued my interested until I saw the Oak-Aged Bretta from Logsdon shop up. Many of their beers are not unique or even hard to get but if you take your time you can find something. Besides beer and wine, LetsPour also offers cider, sodas, and other swag (glasses, shirts, etc.).
You need to order at least 6 items from the same shipping location to qualify for free shipping from that location. In reality, Lets Pour had already added in the cost of shipping to each of the beers that I purchased. As long as I ordered at least 6 items, the overall cost of the order is comparative to other online stores. Additionally, LetsPour allows you to spin a virtual wheel to earn an additional discount. I got a $5 discount.
LetsPour used the egg-crate bottle carriers that many stores use. Each bottle lays flat in its own compartment and doesn't touch any other bottles.
It is very easy to sort the beers to see what is available by location. The search bar can also be used to find a specific beer or brewery. If stock on a certain item is running low the number left will be listed on the image of that item.
The beers shipped very quickly and arrived in great shape. I really like the updates that I received as the order progressed through the ordering process: order placed in the system, credit card processed, order sent to fulfillment, and, finally shipment information. I would definitely use LetsPour again.
