The Allagash Brewing Company was founded in 1994 in Portland, Maine. They brew a variety of traditional and experimental Belgian beers using a unique style: All of the bottled beers at Allagash are bottle conditioned–which means that prior to bottling, a fresh dose of yeast is added along with a measured amount of Candi Sugar.
