Bruisin’ Ales – Online Store Review

Bruisin’ Ales is what you would call a beer store with a comprehensive selection that also pays a lot of attention to North Carolina brews. Located in Asheville, NC, they stock over 1,000 beers from around the world, the country, and the block. Owned and operated by Jason and Julie Atallah since 2006, Bruisin’ Ales has quickly become known in the beer world and was rated the “#4 Best Beer Retailer in the U.S.” by RateBeer Best 2011.

And now, a brief review:

Bruisin’ Ales
With such a large selection, you can always find a good portion of what you are looking for. Bruisin' Ales also has a comprehensive selection of North Carolina beers. My latest purchase was across the board: The Bruery, Heavy Seas, Fantome, Stillwater, and Founders
Pricing is on par with other online stores. I give them kudos for not jacking up the price of The Bruery's Cuir since it is about 1 year old and their last one in stock
Regular thickness cardboard box. Bottles were enclosed in a thin cardboard 'eggshell' carton that is used by many other retailers.
The current beers are listed alphabetically on their site. You should also look at their beer blog for new arrivals that haven't been added to the main beer list yet. The only downside is that you need to email Bruisin' Ales to get pricing and shipment information. However, they responded quickly.
I've ordered from Bruisin' Ales a number of time and wouldn't hesitate to order from them in the future. One bottle was missing from the order and another beer was sent in its place Bruisin' Ales was very responsive and fixed the problem quickly, shipping the correct bottle.

Very easy to use web site with more information than just beer selection: local Ashville beer events, news, gatherings.
